Monteverde Country Lodge - Costa Rica

I had a lovely stay here! The breakfast buffet was a standout with a wide variety of delicious local dishes that exceeded my expectations. The garden is beautiful, filled with butterflies and birds. the noise from the restaurant in the morning was a bit disruptive. I would definitely visit again.

fantastic base for a family holiday, felt like home. all the staff we met were really good and polite. the breakfast selection was great with a really good hot chocolate. the location was stunning, short walk to the nearby restaurant, supermarket and the fountains. no complaint, the venue met requirements.

The staff were not so friendly, didn't expect that coming.

neat and functional rooms with balcony overlooking gardens, amicable staff. heated pool, parking on-site. no charge for room service and wake up calls too. location really close to the central market as well as butterfly farm and cloud forest.

I ate at a particularly good restaurant with delicious food. Every member of the staff was courteous and very welcoming.

Stayed at country lodge, costa rica for one night. The atmosphere was lovely with a rich variety of birds around the garden. Breakfast was a highlight with a wide selection. We enjoyed the spa at hotel poco a poco, perfect after a day full of activities. Convenient parking was a plus!

The gardens were beautiful, filled with birds. Kids loved the playground. Wi-Fi in the room was weak. The breakfast had great options too.

The Superior Room with two queen beds felt spacious with a warm atmosphere. I loved the elegant snack and wine waiting for me upon my arrival! Exploring the beautiful grounds was a treat, as the vibrant gardens teemed with diverse bird species right outside my door. The friendly staff was always eager to share their knowledge of the area and helped me spot many unique birds.

The room was spacious and comfy for our family, with two queen beds. The location was great too, close to restaurants and beautiful nature. One downside was the wetness from all the rain, but they offered a drying service. It gets a bit loud at times, though, depending on the neighbors. A cozy spot to relax after a day of adventures!

Just an ideal choice for a quick stop in Monteverde with excellent value for money. The staff was super helpful, even sending a lost wallet to us in San Jose. Make sure to enjoy the breakfast options.

The burgers at the restaurant were a must-try-juicy, stacked high, and bursting with flavor! Plus, the lush gardens provided an enchanting birdwatching experience just outside our door.

Rooms were cozy but slightly cramped, and the breakfast drinks could've been fresher. It felt a bit busy, like a hub for tour groups, but everything still sparkled with charm.

The included breakfast was a hit, offering fresh fruit and local options. Our family really enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere of the area.

My kids wished for a small playground to burn off some energy after our adventures.

Charming stay in the cloud forest

We stayed for 3 nights and it reminded me of a cozy ski lodge. The food was great, especially breakfast! Friendly staff helped us plan our excursions. The only bummer was hearing people early in the morning, but it didn't ruin our vibe. The gardens are super pretty with tons of birds around.
